Job Description

A Business Development Manager for an IT Company with 4-5 years of experience is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth for the company. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the company's products and services meet the needs of clients and the market.

 

The primary duties of a Business Development Manager for an IT Company may include:

 

  • Identifying new business opportunities: The Business Development Manager will research and analyze market trends, identify potential clients and partners, and develop a pipeline of new business opportunities.Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Client Acquisition and Onboarding: The Business Development Manager will do requirement gathering, analysis, cost estimation, preparing proposal, and closing the deal. Ensure smooth client onboarding by Introducing project managers and handing over project details to internal teams.
  • Developing relationships with potential clients: The Business Development Manager will build relationships with potential clients by understanding their needs and developing customized solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Driving revenue growth: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving revenue targets by developing and executing sales strategies, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: The Business Development Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, and operations to ensure that the company's products and services meet the needs of clients and the market.
  • Developing and maintaining sales materials: The Business Development Manager will develop and maintain sales materials such as presentations, proposals, and case studies to support the sales process.
  • Analyzing market trends and competition: The Business Development Manager will stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for the company.

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

 

  • MBA with specialization in Sales or Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing for an IT company.
  • Knowledge of the IT industry and emerging technologies.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication (Written and Oral), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Languages – English (Mandate), Hindi / Gujarati (Preferred)
  • Smart, Creative, Organised and Pro-active
  • Ready to travel across cities as and when required.
