Job Description

ePMO Tools Administrator

 

The person in this role will be the primary system administrator for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the Clarizen/ Planview Adaptivework / Atlassian Jira Cloud migration leveraging Workato for integration and the follow on maintenance as well as the follow on day to day support of the systems.

The ePMO tools administrator will function in a working capacity to perform systems administration duties, analyze system logs, and research failure codes for resolutions and implement solutions.

 

Daily Work activities

 

  • Monitor systems log failure codes and research resolutions.
  • Analyzing data and system logs
  • Document policies and procedures
  • Suggests new processes to improve performance
  • Receives and responds to end user inquiries and incidents
  • Monitor and validate end-user usage and quality of the tool
  • Provides end-user support and training
  • Schedule and work with vendors to troubleshoot issues and discuss new technologies.
  • Coordinate communications between team members and PTG leadership
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in providing best practices to configuring JIRA to meet the needs of PTG.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

 

Jira

 

  • Experience leading discussions with executive-level and technical audiences
  • Have strong project management skills, particularly the ability to hold customers accountable for the next steps, create and review detailed project plans
  • Work in an environment with shifting deadlines and dependencies
  • Have a keen respect for process adherence and process improvements
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and empathize with customer roadblocks; use insights from customer interactions to drive improvements in Atlassian products and processes
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude with a focus on abstract and technical reasoning and bug identification
  • Have the proven ability to create and improve internal processes and policies, as well as create customer best practices based on trends and insights
  • Have experience with Atlassian tools, as an administrator
  • Have been involved with migrating software from on-premise to SaaS/cloud environment
  • Configure and maintain the Atlassian tools to meet the needs of our organization including collaborating with other IT teams to integrate Atlassian tools with other systems
  • Create and maintain Jira projects, workflows, custom fields, screens, and schemes
  • Responsible for data integrity and security through monitoring system performance to ensure high availability
  • Develop and maintain custom plugins, workflows, and reports as needed
  • Provide training and support to end-users
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian tools and technologies
  • Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve
  • JIRA/Adaptivework build and configuration
  • Utilizes design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for complex and high impact projects
  • Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented in JIRA to support runbooks
  • Create JIRA projects, queries and reports as required

 

AdaptiveWork

 

  • Ability to set up and maintain Adaptivework users, roles, security groups and access rights
  • Understanding on how to create and maintain portfolios/programs, projects and epics
  • Experience with troubleshooting inefficient processes and process flows
  • Good understanding of the financial configurations and how to keep the data relevant
  • Understand, modify and maintain the rates updates for both blended and actual costs
  • Good understanding on how to input and maintain resource management capabilities
  • Experience in configuring and interpreting audit logs
  • Experience maintaining and reporting on time reporting periods and timesheet settings
  • Demonstrable skills of project, program and/or portfolio Management with ability to analyze, identify and support the ePMO
  • Understanding of the tool to provide additional capabilities to better support the PMO’s mission
  • Understanding of Workato and its usage as an integration tool Assist in the development and maintaining integrations between Jira and Adaptivework leveraging Workato
  • Lead in setting and maintaining system standards as it pertains to the supported tools
  • Lead in technical troubleshooting and configuration of software and hardware systems reported through ticketing system
  • Lead in maintaining and upgrading software and hardware
  • Lead in managing full lifecycle of software and hardware used by our organization
  • Work with vendors on issues or projects on software and hardware
  • Lead in implementing disaster recovery plans and backup/recovery efforts
  • Evaluate and follow security recommendations provided by security and vendors
  • Collaborate with internal groups and external vendors to ensure all installations meet specifications
  • Participate in after hours on-call rotation
  • Configure alerting to notify team members of active incidents or monitoring events
  • Report and communicate system availability and performance metrics
  • Ability to create and configure reports

 

Other desired experience

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Configuring & managing development & testing sandboxes
  • Computer experience, including skills in Google and/or Microsoft office
  • Demonstrable ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options, then implement solutions is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across the organization and must be able to clearly articulate ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrable ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical language.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an analytic approach to problem solving
  • In addition, troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.

  • Understand tools ITIL support framework to ensure strong understanding of processes
  • Creates logic flow charts and process diagrams based on departmental need
  • 4-7 years’ experience in supporting JIRA and/or Adaptivework and/or Workato

 

Qualifications

 

  • 4 year degree or equivalent. Met with a mix of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration, maintenance, and support of enterprise systems. Experience with Planview products preferred, especially Planview AdaptiveWork and Workato
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration, maintenance, and support of enterprise systems. Experience with Atlassian products preferred, especially Jira cloud Jira and/or AdaptiveWork certification is a plus
